Superb Country House in Bedfordshire

One of the prettiest kitchens we have had the pleasure of designing, this bespoke project forms the heart of a magnificent country home in Bedfordshire.

The rich hand-painted blue cabinetry creates an elegant focal point, complemented by softer cream-painted furniture and bespoke glazed cabinets featuring beautiful fluted glass. Warm brass hardware adds another layer of detail, bringing the different elements of the room together.

At the centre is a substantial island designed for cooking, preparation and informal seating. Rare Lemurian Blue granite was chosen for the worktops, introducing wonderful depth, movement and flashes of colour. At one end, a beautifully crafted oak worktop provides a warm natural contrast and creates a distinctive curved feature within the island.

Entertaining was also an important part of the design. A fully stocked bar cabinet sits alongside a dedicated glassware cupboard, combining practical storage with carefully considered display space.

Bespoke details continue throughout the room, from the internal drawer organisation and concealed island storage to a specially designed built-in dog seat. These individual touches allow the cabinetry to work perfectly for the way the family uses the space.

Beyond the kitchen itself, Moneyhill supplied and painted the wall panelling within the adjoining living area, helping to create a cohesive scheme across the entire open-plan room. Soft furnishings, natural oak details and the existing fireplace complete a space that feels luxurious, comfortable and entirely at home within its country setting.
